This just in, the Montreal Canadiens have placed 24 year old forward Michael McCarron on waivers, while the San Jose Sharks have also placed 26 year old forward Jonny Brodzinski on waivers.

Check it out:

The 24 year old McCarron was selected by the Habs in the first round (25th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, but has failed to stick in the NHL through four campaigns. In total McCarron has played just 69 NHL games dating back to the 2015-16 season, putting up two goals and eight points. In 32 games with the AHL’s Laval Rocket last season, McCarron put up a respectable seven goals and 21 points.

As for Brodzinksi, the former 5th round pick by the Los Angeles Kings in the same 2013 draft managed to earn a spot in the Sharks’ roster out of training camp, but with Patrick Marleau’s new contract there’s simply no room left for Brodzinski on the roster.
