There appears to be a good chance that at least two National Hockey League regular season games will be played in Europe this year.

Both the Ottawa Senators and Colorado Avalanche are "likely" to play in a two-game regular season series in November and that series is expected to take place in Sweden according to a report from TSN's Darren Dreger

The deal is currently pending approval from the National Hockey League Players Association, but it seems likely that if negotiations have gotten this far along between the Sens and the Avs that they fully expect they will receive that approval.

According to Dreger the games will be played some time in Novemeber of 2017.
