We have another trade to announce, although when compared to some of the trades that have come down already this one would certainly rank a little lower.
With that said the New York Rangers have officially announced that they have acquired the services of forward Chris Brown from a team who will likely be the fiercest competition in the Eastern Conference Washington Capitals in exchange for forward Ryan Bourque.
This appears to be primarily a shift in depth for both teams, as both men have spent the vast majority of their time in the American Hockey League this season, nonetheless it remains a curious trends that teams who will be rivals in the playoffs, like in this case or for example L.A. and Chicago, continue to make deals with one another ostensibly with the goal of getting better.
