Breaking: Two sources claim NHL star has been injured.
NHL star suffers yet another injury.
HockeyFeed
We have early reports of an injury to a National Hockey League star player, however we don't know just how bad it is just yet.
According to a breaking news report from Minnesota Wild insider Mike Russo of The Athletic, two sources have informed him that Wild forward Zach Parise has "tweaked his back," a very bad sign indeed.
Parise has a bad history of back injuries, and when back injuries continue to reoccur like this there is cause for real concern from both the team and it's fan base, especially when it involves a player the caliber of Parise.
Parise is just two seasons removed from a herniated disc that put an end to that season, and in the 2016-2017 season he was once again severely limited by injuries. Parise appeared in just 69 regular season games for the Wild in 2016-20167 scoring fewer than 20 goals for the first time since the 2012-2013 season, a season which saw him play in just 48 games.
