Only two players hit the waiver wire on Thursday, but rival teams will want to take a close look at them.
Both Vegas Golden Knights' netminder Calvin Pickard and Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Martin Marincin were placed on waivers.
According to many, both players will be claimed.
The Knights claimed Boston Bruins' Malcolm Subban yesterday and decided to place Pickard on waivers. He joined Vegas at the expansion draft this summer, but might not get a chance to prove them what he is capable of. In 50 games last year with the Colorado Avalanche, Pickard registered a .904 save percentage and 2.98 goals against average.
As for Marincin, he recorded a goal and seven points in 25 games with the Leafs. He stands tall at 6 foot 5 and weighs in at 212 pounds.
