When National Hockey League fans hear of concussions and concussion-like symptoms, they expect the worst. And of course, it is understandable when we look back at Sidney Crosby's long battle with concussions and heard the same words when Edmonton Oilers' Leon Draisaitl was said to suffer from symptoms following an eye injury that occurred last Monday.
During the past week, the young star forward did not practice with the team and missed two games already. However, head coach Todd McLelland announced on Wednesday that Draisaitl will make the trip with the team.
Even better: he could be in the lineup Saturday against the Phildelphia Flyers.
Great news for the fans and the Oilers, who have struggled out of the gate. Edmonton lost four consecutive games since the start of the season.
