Breaking: Veteran defenseman injured, sounds like it may be serious.

We have some big news to report on Monday. 

According to a breaking news report from The Athletic's Jeremy Rutherford, head coach Mike Yeo of the St. Louis Blues has informed him that National Hockey League veteran defenseman Jay Bouwmeester has suffered an injury. 

While the specific nature of the injury is unknown at this time, Yeo did inform Rutherford that it is a lower-body injury, and there are signs that this may be serious. 

Yeo would not give Rutherford any indicating of how long Bouwmeester may be out, stating that the Blues defenseman would be seeing a doctor to determine just how severe this situation is.
