The Philadelphia Flyers have reportedly been hit with some seriously bad news.

Flyers insider Sam Carchidi is now reporting that veteran forward Michael Raffl will miss the remainder of the season due to a major injury that was suffered on Tuesday night in a game against the Colorado Avalanche.

Carchidi has a very solid reputation when it comes to repoirting Flyers news and he claims his source for this information is general manager Ron Hextall himself so it sounds like Raffl is indeed badly injured.

It's a tough break for a team that is in a tight battle for the playoffs.
