Things are looking quite different at this time in the season than they did last summer for veteran forward Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau. The 34-year-old has reportedly agree to spend the rest of the season with Jekaterinburgh Avtomobilist in the KHL.
During this season's training camp, the Detroit Red Wings had offered him a professional tryout offer, but he did not crack the roster.
The former fourth round draft pick, spent last season with the New Jersey Devils before eventually being traded to the Stanley Cup Finalist Nashville Predators at the National Hockey League trade deadline.
In 67 total games split between the two teams last season, Parenteau recorded 13 goals and 15 assists for a total of 28 points over that stretch.
