According to a report from NEWS 1130 Vancouver reporter Rick Dhaliwal, the Calgary Flames have invited veteran forward Tanner Glass to training camp on a professional try-out contract.

The 33-year-old Glass split last season between the New York Rangers and the Hartford Wolfpack of the AHL, but has also played for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Winnipeg Jets, Vancouver Canucks and Florida Panthers.

In just 11 games with the Rangers last season Glass put up a single goal and  a single assist, but did manage to put up 17 penalty minutes. It’s unclear exactly how Glass will fit into the Flames lineup, or whether he’s just there to provide competition for the team’s prospects, but in either case we’re pulling for you, Glass Man!
