Breaking: We know the details of Ryan Johansen's monster contract!

Ryan Johansen will be in Nashville for a while.

The Predators have officially announced a monster eight-year, $64 million contract extension for the 24-year-old centerman. The annual average value is $8 million.

Johansen recorded 14 goals and a career-high 47 assists for 61 points in 82 games last season. He also added three goals and 10 assist in 14 playoff games, before suffering a very serious leg injury during the Game 4 of Western Conference Final. He is expected to fully recover and be ready for training camp.

He was selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets 14th overall in the 2010 NHL draft, and was traded to Nashville on January 6, 2016, in exchange for young defenseman Seth Jones.
