He's ahead of schedule.

The Minnesota Wild are expecting a big return to the line up on Tuesday night.
Wild insider Mike Russo is reporting that 25-year-old forward Nino Niederreiter is a few days ahead of schedule regarding his recovery from an injury suffered earlier in the season and as a result should be available tomorrow.
Niederreiter suffered a high-ankle sprain just three games into the regular season and as a result was projected to miss three weeks with the injury, but now he says he's ready to test his ankle in live game action.
Unfortunately Niederreiter admits he's still not 100% and in fact believes he will have some lingering pain for quite a while before he makes a full recovery.
“The doctor told me it's going to be awhile before you don't feel anything,” said the Wild forward as per The Athletic.
Niederreiter believes a game will be the real test of his freshly-healed ankle and he's likely right, hopefully all goes well for the young forward when he does make his return to action.
