Everyone around the National Hockey League has been informed that Minnesota Wild forward Charlie Coyle has been traded to the Boston Bruins in exchange for prospect Ryan Donato and a fifth round pick. While the trade has yet to be made official by the league, TSN's Bob McKenzie believes it's only a matter of time.

You may think everyone knows, however, Wild insider Michael Russo of The Athletic has just posted the information that Coyle still doesn't know where he is going. While the team did tell him that he had been traded, no one has informed him to which team... The veteran forward has reportedly been told not to join his teammates on the plane and his suitcase has been removed from the aircraft so he can stay behind and head to his new team.

That's brutal... the guy should know by now!

The trade is expected to be made official by 10pm tonight, let's hope he is given more information before then...

Last week, head coach Bruce Boudreau guaranteed that his team would make the postseason. A day later, GM Paul Fenton made it clear that he had gotten the green light to make trades ahead of the deadline, even if it means that the Wild will fall out of playoff contention.

Minnesota could benefit from a hockey trade, and also the addition of starpower and young prospects. They have now been shut out in back-to-back games, but are still in a playoff spot with 60 points in the last Wild Card slot.

Coyle has tallied 10 goals and 18 assists while playing in 60 games this season. He has spent his entire six-year career in Minnesota, debuting with the club during the 2012-13 season after he was selected in the first round, 28th overall by the San Jose Sharks in 2010, but was moved in the Brent Burns blockbuster trade.

The 26-year-old forward carries a $3.2 million cap hit through next season on the five-year contract he signed with the Wild in 2014.
