Wild make a big roster change.

It looks like Luke Kunin will be getting another shot to prove himself at the National Hockey League level.

According to a breaking news report from Minnesota Wild insider Mike Russo of the Star Tribune, the Wild have called up both Kunin, their former first round draft pick in 2016, and undrafted 24-year-old Zack Mitchell for their match ups against the Winnipeg Jets and the Calgary Flames.

While you would like to paint the narrative that Kunin has earned this call up based purely on performance, there's little doubt that the fact that the Wild are currently pretty banged up is playing a role here.

Nonetheless it will be a chance for head coach Bruce Boudreau to evaluate once of the most hyped prospects in the Wild's system, and could even give Kunin a shot to prove he's ready for the big time.
