The NHL season is not even under way, but the Players' department of Safety is already strong at work.
Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson will have a hearing Saturday for interference on St. Louis Blues' Robert Thomas.
This particular incident happened early in the third period of the Blues’ 4-0 win on Friday night when Wilson delivered his hit long after Thomas was in possession of the puck.

It will be the first hearing for the department under the direction of its new leader, George Parros.
