The Winnipeg Jets have re-assigned forward Matt Halischuk to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL pending waivers. Halischuk, or as he's more affectionately known to myself as "Husslechuk" has played in 13 games this season and provided relief for other injured forwards. Despite not tallying any points this season, Halischuk has provided a spark in the locker room and on the bench when in the lineup this season.
With plenty of trade talks on the go in Winnipeg, this could be a movement to begin setting up for all that. It's nearly the anniversary of the memorable Evander Kane trade and that could be a sign that GM Kevin Chevedayoff could choose to move his assets prior to the deadline for a larger return. The next four weeks in Winnipeg are going to very interesting! Does Captain Andrew Ladd stay or go? Does hearty Dustin Byfuglien stay or go? We are waiting intently.
