Breaking: Worrisome update on Foligno's contract impasse

Veteran forward Marcus Foligno is still waiting to hear back from the Minnesota Wild on his ongoing contract negotiations and nothing has been agreed upon, hours before the start of training camp. 

Foligno had previously mentioned to Wild insider Mike Russo of The Athletic that it was only a matter of time before he signs on the dotted line, but his agent told Russo otherwise on Wednesday. 

Foligno fully expected the deal will be completed prior to the start of the Wild's training camp, but they are running out of time. 

Will the forward even show up to camp?

Russo did not report his absence as of now and noted that Foligno had been skating with teammates for a week.
