Breaking: Young NHL center signs contract worth $35 million!

Another young center has collected a huge payday on Monday.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have officially announced that they have agreed to terms on a massive seven year contract with 26-year-old forward Tyler Johnson. The Lightning have also announced that the average annual value of this contract will be $5 million, bringing the total value to a whopping $35 million.

This was one of the bigger pieces of business for general manager Steve Yzerman this summer, and the Lightning have to be extremely happy to have locked up one of their big offensive talents at a relatively affordable price for seven more years.

In just 66 games last season Johnson had 19 goals and 26 assists for a total of 45 points.
