Just minutes before heading into arbitration, the big Swede has a new deal.
It was announced today by the New York Rangers that they have agreed to terms with restricted free-agent forward with Mika Zibanejad. The deal is a five-year contract with an AAV of $5.35 million.
Zibanejad who was drafted 6th overall by the Ottawa Senators in 2011 was traded to the Rangers last year for Derrick Brassard and is now seen as a crucial part of the top six up front for the rangers. Zibanejad's career high came in Ottawa where he had 51 points in 81 games.
