It sounds like the Boston Bruins may have their man.
According to a breaking news report from WEEI's Rich Keefe, the Boston Bruins and star forward David Pastrnak are currently finalizing a max term contract worth a whopping $88 million. That means that Pastrnak would earn $88 million over the course of the next 8 seasons, working out to an average annual value and cap hit of around $11 million per season for the Bruins.
This would represent a gigantic raise for Pastrnak who is currently in the final year of a 6 year contract that was worth $40 million, working out to a raise over more than $4 million per season for Pastrnak.
Pastrnak has been on fire this season with 25 goals and 25 assists for 50 points in just 36 regular season games and no doubt this signing will come as welcome news to the Bruins loyal fan base.
