Bruins announce discouraging injury update

Current Boston Bruins forward came into the National Hockey League with plenty of hype, as he was selected in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft with the 1st overall pick by the Edmonton Oilers. And aside from one MVP season with the New Jersey Devils in 2017-18, he's carved out a career that just about any fan or pundit would label as decent with 693 points in 819 career games. 

But the unfortunate news for the Bruins tonight is that he will be unavailable to face his former team in the Oilers. According to multiple reports, he's dealing with a lower body injury and has returned to Boston. But the good news along with that setback is that head coach Jim Montgomery does not believe the injury to be of the serious variety.

“Taylor went back to Boston… I think last night or early this morning. He’s lower body and we’re just precautionary..I don’t think it’s anything serious..but with back to back games we didn’t see him playing so we sent him back,” Montgomery explained after the morning skate in Edmonton this morning. 

In 58 games played for the NHL-best Bruins this season, Hall has tallied 16 goals and 20 assists for a total of 36 points.
