The Boston Bruins are facing some unusual adversity as the regulars season that they've absolutely dominated is starting to head into the final stretch. They've dropped consecutive regulation games for the first time this year, coming in the form of losses to their Original 6 rivals in Detroit and Chicago.
And ahead of their next game against the Winnipeg Jets tomorrow night, they've announced an "emergency" roster move. Jakub Lauko has been recalled from the American Hockey League affiliate Providence Bruins.
Lauko has enjoyed a strong campaign in Providence, having tallied 23 goals and 38 assists for 61 points. In the 12 games that he's appeared with the Bruins this season, he's scored three goals and two assists; his last appearance was in early March in a 7-1 victory over the Sabres.
