As the National Hockey League Trade Deadline looms less than 24 hours away, anticipation is high following the completion of several deals. Prior to these trades, many players were pulled from their respective lineups, signaling imminent trades by their clubs.

And now, another player who has been involved in rumors is finding himself sitting ahead of his team's next game. Boston Bruins defenseman Derek Forbort has been scratched ahead of tonight's Original 6 matchup at TD Garden against the visiting rival Toronto Maple Leafs.

However, it doesn't appear as though his being held out of the lineup is due to an impending move, but rather due to a minor ailment.

“Forbort is day-to-day, just dealing with some minor aches and pains,” Boston Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery said prior to the game.

Forbort has already found himself in the doghouse of Montgomery last month after he overslept and missed a team meeting. He also missed considerable time earlier in the season, having been placed on IR for six weeks.
