Bruins assign young prospect to the AHL

The Boston Bruins assigned goaltender Zane McIntyre to the Providence Bruins (AHL), the team announced on Sunday. 


The 25-year old goaltender was drafted 165th overall by Boston in 2010. He hasn't seen action in the NHL so far this season. In five games played in the AHL this season, McIntyre has compiled a 4-1-0 record with a 1.81 goals against average and .928 save percentage. He played height games in Boston last year, posting a 0-4-1 record with a 3.97 goals-against average and a .858 save percentage.
