It's not the end of the world, but things aren't going well for the Boston Bruins right now. After winning most of their games around the end of November and the beginning of December, Boston can't buy two points.

The Bruins were victimized by the best team in the league last night, falling 3-2 to the Washington Capitals.

Despite Tuakka Rask's 26 saves, Boston couldn't get back from an early 2-0 lead.

"It was a weird game," Rask said. "It looked like there were some moments where we had a lot of emotion but then at times it was kind of just not a whole lot going on out there.

Patrice Bergeron liked the team's effort, but knows that it is a performance based business:

"We have to find ways to generate more goals and more chances. I thought it was a much better effort but still not good enough," Bergeron said. "The standings are way too tight to let games like that slip by."

The Bruins lost Adam McQuaid during the game, after he was hit dangerously by Washington's Zach Still. Although no penalty was called on the play,Still is schedule to have an hearing with the NHL's player safety department today.

The Bruins will have a chance to get back in the win column when they play the Ottawa Senators on Friday in Canada's capital.
