Minnesota Wild forward Jason Zucker wants to be somewhere where he is wanted and it seems like this place could be in Boston.

According to Bruins insider Shawn Hutcheon, Boston has been kicking the tires on Zucker and could make a move tonight at the NHL Draft in Vancouver.

The Wild has been clearing the team’s core player since the start of last season, trading Nino Niederreiter, Charlie Coyle, and Mikael Granlund in the last months. Coyle was moved to the Bruins at the trade deadline and was a great help in the team’s playoff run.

Zucker could be the next target in Minnesota and could end up with Coyle in Boston.

The top forward has been mentioned in trade chatter for some time now. A deal to send Zucker to the Calgary Flames fell through just before the trade deadline in February. Last month, a reported move that would've sent him and Victor Rask to the Pittsburgh Penguins for Phil Kessel and Jack Johnson didn't happen because Kessel used his no-trade clause to nix the deal.

Zucker signed a five-year extension in July, which was one of Paul Fenton's first moves. He's expressed his love for Minnesota and a desire to stay with the Wild despite the constant trade rumors.

It remains to be seen if he will get to stay or if the Wild will make a move in the coming days to ship him out once and for all…
