No one is safe on the ice. Especially during playoff hockey. And linesman Jonny Murray found out the hard way in the first period of Game 3 of the series between the Carolina Hurricanes and Bruins and in Boston on Friday night.
The on-ice crew was cleaning up the ice during a TV timeout and the officials were having a discussion. One employee skated away with the bin in which they put the extra ice and snow from the surface, but collided with Murray as he was making his way out at the Zamboni doors.
Not only does he collided with Murray, but he sends him flying as the collision involves the huge bucket.
Check it out, that must have hurt:
No one is safe.
