True leadership!

In the wake of Kyle Beach's interview with TSN last week, the entire hockey world is reeling and trying to come to grips with how this entire awful situation remained buried for more than a decade.

In case you've been living under a rock for the past week, Beach, a former 11th overall pick of the Blackhawks in 2008, alleges that the team's former video coach Brad Aldrich sexually assaulted him during the 2010 season. Furthermore Beach contends that he notified then Blackhawks GM Stan Bowman and head coach Joel Quenneville of the alleged abuse and neither took action. Bowman resigned last week and Quenneville, who was with the Florida Panthers organization most recently, was effectively forced to resign as a result of these findings.

If you haven't yet watched Beach's interview with TSN journalist Rick Westhead, I recommend you give it a watch. It's certainly not something that you're going to sit back and crack a beer to watch, but it's definitely a 'must watch' for all hockey fans out there, especially if you have not yet read the damning report from an independent investigator.

Again, as difficult as that may be to watch it's worthwhile.

And evidently Boston Bruins leaders Patrice Bergeron and Brandon Carlo agree. Carlo told reporters earlier today that not only has he watched Kyle Beach's interview with TSN, but he and Bergeron had the entire Bruins roster watch it as a group.

Now THAT's real leadership! Especially when you contrast it with the comments that Blackhawks leaders Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane made last week in support of Bowman and Quenneville. But, maybe we shouldn't be surprised? Both Bergeron and Carlo are well respected leaders from virtually everyone in the hockey world.
