In the National Hockey League, timing is very important and it seems like the Boston Bruins have realized just that.

It looks like the Bruins and general manager Don Sweeney have been patient enough and might be rewarded as the Minnesota Wild are looking to make a move as the teams currently sits outside the playoff picture in the Western Conference.

Earlier today, Wild insider Michael Russo of The Athletic has reported forward Charlie Coyle is being 'dangled' in the trade market by the Wild and NHL insider Pierre LeBrun believes the Bruins might be on the verge of getting a deal done as he reported on Tuesday's Insider Trading on TSN.

"I believe the Boston Bruins have kicked the tires on Charlie Coyle. Not really surprised given that the Bruins, with all those injuries that they are dealing with. I don't know that this is something that's imminent; but in terms of the Wild, I think Paul Fenton may be finally starting - ready to act."

The Wild forward has tallied four goals and 13 points in 29 games this season with a plus-4 rating and has just one goal and three points in his past 10 games. A 21-goal scorer back in the 2016-17 campaign, Coyle posted 11 goals and 37 points in 66 games last season.

Russo seemed to report that the Montreal Canadiens and Ottawa Senators have also shown interest for Coyle, however, LeBrun did some more digging on Tuesday.

"I don't think the Canadiens are involved. I don't think so. That's my understanding," LeBrun added on Montreal's TSN 690.

"I did a bit of due diligence on it today, and I couldn't connect Montreal to Coyle. I'm not always right, but I'm just telling you that through the channel I worked today, I did not see a link there. Who knows. We shall see."

Coyle remains an enticing option for a few clubs, and definitely the Bruins, as he is a first-round draft pick of the San Jose Sharks in 2010. The 26-year-old carries a $3.2 million cap hit through next season.
