The latest two additions to the NHL waiver wire have come courtesy of the Boston Bruins and Minnesota Wild, as Patrick Brown and Dakota Mermis are now available for pick up.
Should either player go unclaimed, they could be assigned to their respective American Hockey League teams.
Brown has appeared in six games for the Bruins this year, registering no points along with a -1 plus/minus rating.
He's played in a total of 180 career NHL games with the Carolina Hurricanes, Vegas Golden Knights, Philadelphia Flyers, Ottawa Senators and Bruins, and has scored 10 goals with 14 assists. He's also added three goals in 22 career postseason games.
Meanwhile, Mermis was signed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Wild after having initially began his NHL career as an undrafted free agent with the Arizona Coyotes. He's also played for the New Jersey Devils, and has scored a goal with three assists in 27 career games.
