The Boston Bruins have been quite busy lately. On Thursday, the league-leafing team acquired pending unrestricted free agent Tyler Bertuzzi from the Detroit Red Wings.
This was another big trade from Boston, who acquired Dmitry Orlov and Garnet Hathaway from the Washington Capitals last week.
However, many insiders, including Frank Seravalli, wonder if the Bruins might be planning one more move ahead of today’s 3PMET deadline.
The Bruins have been dealing with injury trouble lately. After trading for Bertuzzi, they placed forward Taylor Hall on long-term injured reserve and forward Nick Foligno on injured reserve.
The early word is that the latter could miss the remainder of the regular season as GM Don Sweeney did not rule out the possibility of either player having surgery.
To make things worse on Thursday night, star forward Brad Marchand left the game against the Buffalo Sabres with an injury, though early reports suggests that he could be back in action on Saturday.
As it stands now, the Bruins have more depth at key positions, and who knows if Sweeney won’t add to it later today.
