Boston Bruins’ David Krejci is worried he’s on the way out of the organization. Recovering from a hip surgery he underwent in the offseason, and hoping to regain his peak form, Krejci told Don Sweeny that “this is the place I want to be and where I want to finish my career,” as reported by the Boston Herald.

After the signing of David Backes to a five year, 30-million dollar contract, Krejci explained that “there were lots of rumors that I was going the other way,” making note of Backes’ winger role with the Bruins, but also to his experience as a center.

Since 2013, Krejci lost wingers in Nathan Horton, Jarome Iginla, and Milan Lucic.

The question remains as to what Don Sweeny has in store for the organization.
