This isn't going over well.
The Boston Bruins have made the controversial and bizarre decision to ink controversial former Arizona Coyotes draft pick Mitchell Miller to an entry level contract; as you may remember, he caused stunning controversy when it was revealed that he victimized a developmentally disabled classmate of his some years back with racial abuse and bullying.
Both Bruins team president Cam Neely and general manager Don Sweeney appear to be going the "forgive and forget" route, but it doesn't sound like this decision is going over very well with the Bruins players, who have gotten the team off to the best start in franchise history with a sparkling 10-1 record.
Apparently, the Bruins also felt justified in signing Miller because of alleged interest from other clubs. Even more interesting is the fact that Sweeney admitted that he'd likely not be able to forgive the player he just signed had his own son been the victim of his abuse.
This is an extremely curious move by the Bruins, to say the least.
