The Boston Bruins are wrapping up their road trip tonight with a matchup against the Seattle Kraken, who are in desperation mode in order to try and make the playoffs for a second straight year.

However, the Bruins will be without the services of defenseman Derek Forbort. According to head coach Jim Montgomery, Forbort missed a team meeting and is being punished by having to watch from the press box.

This marks the second time that the Bruins bench boss has doled out some tough love for a player having missed a meeting, having done so with forward Jake DeBrusk back in October.

“Not a player tonight,” Montgomery said of Forbort on Monday. “[Kevin] Shattenkirk is in. [Forbort] missed a meeting today. So that’s just our standard here with the Bruins. Just like [DeBrusk] earlier in the year.”

Forbort, who has already spent six weeks on LTIR this season, has four assists in 34 games along with a +6 rating.
