Yesterday, the Boston Bruins battled against the Florida Panthers and won by a score of 2-1. It was a hard-fought matchup, where both teams are in the same division, and both have been struggling of late.
Brad Marchand scores the opening goal of the season in a penalty shot, where he took the time to undress Roberto Luongo and shoot it top net. With this goal, Marchand now sits at an 80% success rate for his penalty shots, netting four out of five attempts.
However, what stood out yesterday was the team being exactly that, a team. Shane Harper took a shot at Torey Krug in what is, in my opinion, a questionable hit. Luckily, Krug wasn’t hurt, nor had he had to leave the ice for precautionary measures.
As a retaliation to that hit, Adam McQuaid took matters into his own hands and physically told Harper to mind his limits. The fight was one-sided, as McQuaid landed blow after vicious blow, and Harper was unable to retaliate.
Watch the fight below.
