December has been a harder month for the Boston Bruins, who extended their losing streak to five on Thursday after failing short 3-2 at the hands of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
On Wednesday, the attention turned to forward Brett Ritchie for all the wrong reasons as he was trying to let some pressure off his Bruins with a comment he made about their record. He unfortunately showed math was not his forte, which teammate Torey Krug poked fun at on social media moments later.
“It’s an 82-game season. We weren’t going to go 80-3 or whatever it was.”
Well, it seems like the Bruins aren’t done mocking him and the next hit came at an unexpected moment, when goalie Tuukka Rask met with reporters after the 3-2 loss to the Bolts.
He went there:
“We hate to lose. We’re not going to go 80-3 …”
You gotta love it!
The Bruins are getting it light despite the losing streak and their close bond will only get them back on track sooner than later.
