The latest round of players hitting the National Hockey League waiver wire came through today, and among them were former Boston Bruins Round 1 draft pick Jakub Zboril.

The Czech native was selected by the Bruins 13th overall in the 2015 NHL Draft, the selection that was sent to the Bruins by the Los Angeles Kings as part of the Milan Lucic trade. It wouldn't be long before he'd ink a three year, entry level contract.

He would appear in his first two National Hockey League games for the Bruins during the 2018-19 season before being sent back down to the minors, where he would suit up for the American Hockey League affiliate Providence Bruins.

He would later find himself loaned by the Bruins to join Czech Extraliga club, HC Kometa Brno, in September of 2020 with the NHL season on hiatus thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. The next month, he and the Bruins agreed to two-year, $1.45 million extension.

In 76 NHL games, all with Boston, he's scored one goal while adding 15 assists. He's skated in 19 games with the Providence Bruins this year, registering seven assists.
