Brutal head shot takes out Mcdonagh in his second game back from concussion.

This is bad for the New York Rangers, and clearly it's really bad for Ryan McDonagh.

McDonagh had just recently returned to the Rangers line up after missing multiple games with a concussion he suffered after being punched in the head by Phladelphia Flyers forward Wayne Simmonds. Unfortunately it appears like the blow he suffered to the head this evening may be a serious cause for concern once again.

McDonagh was taken out of the game by a blatant elbow from Toronto Maple Leafs forward Leo Komarov, during the first period of their match up on Thursday night, and although McDonagh did stay on the bench, he did not return for the second period.

Here's a look at the play.
