Buffalo Sabres introduce cool measure in what will otherwise be a miserable season

Well, at least they have this going for them.

Let's be honest, the Buffalo Sabres are once again going to be in contention for the National Hockey League's top overall pick when this season comes to a merciful end for them. And they'll likely be doing it without former captain Jack Eichel, who remains in a standoff with the team that selected him 2nd overall behind Connor McDavid in the 2015 NHL Draft.

Of course, this will be a team who will be starved for offense. But the team is doing something cool for the rare times that they do manage to light the lamp at KeyBank Center.

For the past several seasons, the hit song “Let Me Clear My Throat” by DJ Kool has been the team's goal celebration song. But now, each player on the roster has the chance to select a personalized tune to play for when they score.
