He might have done so because his San Jose Sharks ended up beating the Edmonton Oilers 6-3 on Thursday night, but defenseman Brent Burns made a stunning move in the third period of the contest.

The blue liner witnessed young defenseman Ethan Bear score an amazing goal on his netminder Aaron Dell and made the classy move of skating over to the Oilers’ bench and complimented the kid on his tally.

We rarely see this in the league, but it was kind of nice to see camaraderie between two rival defensemen.

We’re pretty sure Burns wouldn’t have done so if the Oilers were in the lead, but with the win so close, he went on with the classy move.

Awesome.
