This has got to be the best goal of the year!

Los Angeles Kings fans have been waiting patiently for three and a half years now for 2020 #2 overall pick Quinton Byfield to break out. Well... wait no longer.
The 21 year old power forward has officially arrived this season and is beginning to deliver on so much of the promise he showed as a prospect. The 6'5", 225 lb forward put up a career high three goals and 22 points in 53 games last season, but still spent some time with the AHL's Ontario Reign for seasoning. This season though... he's made it clear that he's not interested in leaving LA.
Byfield has a remarkable 17 goals and 40 points in 51 games so far this season, and his latest goal might be the most impressive of all. Byfield absolutely walked Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Zach Werenski this evening and scored a sprawling goal for a 'Goal of the Year' candidate.
