You've probably done something wrong if the national anthem ahead of your sporting event is making headlines.
That's exactly what happened to the National Hockey League on Saturday after they made the terrible decision to invite singing duo The Reklaws to perform the Canadian national anthem ahead of the NHL's All-Star Game.
What The Reklaws would deliver was perhaps one of the single worst renditions of the Canadian national anthem that you're ever going to hear, certainly at a professional sporting event. It sounded dreadful both to those listening inside of the building itself as well as to those listening on the broadcast, but here is a replay if your ears can handle it:
The fan reaction to this terrible rendition was both harsh and immediate, with fans responding with the same kind of brutal treatment that The Reklaws gave the national anthem. Here are just some of the more tame examples:
