Canadiens and Devils have reportedly discussed a trade.

The Montreal Canadiens and New Jersey Devils are reportedly working on a trade deal.

TSN insider Pierre LeBrun is reporting that the Devils are among the teams that have picked up the phone to inquire about the possibility of acquiring forward Alex Galchenyuk from the Canadiens.

Both general manager Marc Bergevin of the Habs and general manager Ray Shero of the Devils have very solid reputations for not letting much leak out from their organizations, and based on that alone one could speculate that these have in fact been serious talks.

No word from LeBrun on what the Habs are asking for in return, but it wouldn't be a surprise if this trade where to materialize around the time of the National Hockey League's entry draft.
