The Vancouver Canucks recalled forward Brendan Gaunce, the team announced on Monday. The 23-year old forward registered three points on a five-game conditioning stint with the Utica Comets (AHL).
Gaunce was drafted 26th overall by the Canucks in 2012. He played 77 games with the Canucks so far, registering six points. Last season, he played 57 games in the NHL, registering five assists. At the AHL level, the Sudbury, Ontario native registered 79 points in 190 games played (regular season and playoff games included).
Gaunce is expected to be in the lineup tonight as the Canucks take on the Detroit Red Wings.
