Canucks cut mammoth defenseman, two others clear waivers
Vancouver's roster is taking shape. How do you feel about their chances this year?

The Vancouver Canucks are sending down Andrey Pedan, providing he clears waivers first. This is interesting news considering the giant-sized defenseman had a good pre-season this year.
The 6'5" defenseman, drafted in the 3rd round by the New York Islanders, only has 13 NHL games under his belt. At 24, it's not too late for him to crack the NHL, but time is ticking for him. Defensemen generally take longer to develop, but he's starting to hit a "make it or break it age".
In other news, Michael Chaput and Richard Bachman both cleared waivers today at noon and will report to the Utica Comet.
