First Demko... now Hughes!?
If you're a Vancouver Canuck, you better invest in a hard hat and some bubble wrap.
The Canucks have been absolutely ravaged by injury to start the 2025-26 campaign and earlier this week they suffered their most significant injury to date. Starting goaltender Thatcher Demko has been ruled out for 2-3 weeks with an undisclosed injury but... well... if we know anything about the Canucks' injury reports, we might not see Demko for awhile.
And if that weren't bad enough news for Canucks fans, insider Dan Murphy reports today that captain Quinn Hughes did not attend practice today and he's a gametime decision for tomorrow's game against the Carolina Hurricanes.
DOC, in case you were wondering, is forward Drew O'Connor.
To put things mildly, losing Hughes for any significant length of time would be absolutely devastating to the Canucks' season.
