This just in from NHL insider Frank Seravalli, the NHL has fined the Vancouver Canucks for violating terms of the league's CBA with the NHLPA by holding informal team practices in the month of April, despite the fact that the team's season had come to an end.

From another perspective though, this could just be money well spent by the Canucks. If they can have themselves a little mini post-regular season training camp and develop some good training habits heading into the offseason, it could pay off in the long run. It's not exactly a secret that the Canucks were not prepared after Bruce Bourdeau's training camp in 2022, so I'm not surprised that the team took the opportunity to whip its players into shape... even if it cost them a pretty penny.
