With the Vancouver Canucks missing out on the postseason, the one memorable thing that is this brought up is the reported feud between Vancouver Canucks forwards J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson, which ended up impacting the team’s chemistry. The feud fuelled rumors of potential trades, and in the end, Miller was eventually traded to the New York Rangers. On Thursday, general manager Patrik Allvin was asked some tough questions at a meeting with season-ticket holders and ended up revealing more details on what took place between the two star players. Allvin specified that disagreement, which involved differing leadership styles, reportedly started three seasons ago, and was addressed by the coaching staff and team management. He added that it was not just on Miller or Pettersson, but how it all unfolded within the group.

Allvin hinted at the fact that some younger guys might have thought that making it to the Stanley Cup Final would be easy and face the passion and eagerness of a veteran like Miller, who knows better.

Allvin also confirmed that Miller eventually took his leave of absence due to the feud that was messing up the atmosphere in the Canucks’ dressing room.

Watch all of Allvin’s comments on the situation down below:

Miller stated he had no bad feelings towards the Canucks or the city and I’m guessing Allvin and team management will make sure another situation like this never occurs again.

The feud and all of the hockey headlines clearly detoured the Canucks’ season and, as we know, they missed out on the playoffs.

Never again in Vancouver, I bet.
