About time!
According to multiple online reports, the Vancouver Canucks have partnered with the City of Vancouver to build a practice facility at Britannia Arena in East Vancouver.
Sounds like the Canucks and City of Vancouver are close to an agreement to build a practice facility at Britannia Rink. It will include a state of the art gym, off ice training facility, lounge and locker room. The build will also include office space for the city.

The Canucks and the Calgary Flames are currently the only teams in the entire NHL without a devoted practice facility. The Flames though, are set to move into a new facility for the 2027-28 season. The Canucks simply practice at their home rink in Rogers Arena in downtown Vancouver.
Critics of the Canucks have blamed Francesco Aquilini for failing to fund a practice facility in his 20 years as the team's owner. In fact, several fans blame Aquilini for the team losing out on former head coach Rick Tocchet and former captain Quinn Hughes. Both Tocchet and Hughes spoke publicly about their frustration over the team's lack of a practice facility, all while President Jim Rutherford has also expressed to the media that the team can't compete for free agents and trade targets given their current situation.
Needless to say, this might be the biggest non-player personnel move for the Canucks in the past two decades.
