It appears the band may be back together after today's Canucks practice. Head Coach Willie Desjardins once again paired up Alex Burrows with the two Sedins on the Canucks first line. This would appear to be a response to the Canucks four wins in their past ten games. Despite holding on to a playoff spot, there's no question the team has slowed down after their hot start to the season. Burrows made no secret of the fact that he's excited to be reunited with the twins.
"[Desjardins] talked to me about the change and it's been a while, but I'm excited."
The hope is that Burrows, arguably the best two way player on the team, will help the first line improve their puck control. The first line has controlled the puck just 53% of the time this season, and Dejasrdins is obviously hoping Burrows will provide some additional puck control. The move could have the bonus of sparking some offense from Nick Bonino and Chris Higgins by moving Radim Vrbata down to the second line.
